Brett Dearing, CEPA, CMAA is a Partner and Head of Business Owner Advisory at Cerity Partners. Brett is an Exit Planning Specialist with over thirty years of experience working with privately-held businesses and business owners. Brett assists business owners in working through the complexities of transitioning a family business and structuring comprehensive succession plans and growth planning. His specialization is preparing a business and business owner for transactions while maximizing enterprise value. He also assists his clients with mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations, private equity purchases, strategic acquisitions, spin-out acquisitions, tuck-in strategies, ESOPs and company valuation & analysis. Brett is also the Founder of the Business Owners Exchange (BXO) and the Host of THE EXIT Podcast. Brett is an alum of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Gary Silverman, CFA is a Partner and Wealth Advisor at Cerity Partners with more than twenty years of investment experience. He uses his expertise in financial planning and portfolio management to help high-net-worth individuals and families manage their wealth responsibly, grow it tax-efficiently, and realize the lifestyle they want to lead now and for years to come. Gary guides business owners during the preparation stages of selling their business and through the critical personal, professional, and financial transition (including estate planning strategies and defining goals for “what’s next?”). Gary received a B.A. from Vassar College and an MBA from Harvard University.

Anand Christopher is the Managing Partner and Founder of Claremont Hudson, a Chicago-based advisory firm specializing in healthcare. As an advisor to investors and business owners, Anand has supported numerous clients on mergers and acquisitions / commercial due diligence, capital raising and growth strategy. Clients include behavioral health, dental, pediatric therapy, surgery center and digital health companies as well as institutional investors. Anand holds a BBA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from The University of Chicago. Anand also serves as President of the Michigan Ross Alumni Club of Chicago.
