Angela Yee, a Ross MBA alumna, will share her journey of making the transition from an architect and construction project manager to becoming a product manager in the Bay Area. She's currently working as a leadership coach, and product consultant to help others who are looking to make changes in their career journeys. Yee will share some key learnings based on what she has seen work in career journeys from domain expertise into corresponding tech roles, and what she has experienced and seen as effective ways to leverage existing skillsets to get to that desired outcome.

This session will cover:

  • How do you know if you're ready to make the change?
  • How do you isolate the role you're going for?
  • How to think about creating a narrative that will help you navigate conversations within your network
  • Adjusting the narrative for interviews
  • Learning the new craft
