Nick Hornby: A Conversation on Genius Industry Disruptors
On Tuesday, Oct. 10, please join Dean Matusik for a conversation with Nick Hornby, award-winning author and Oscar®-nominated screenwriter. A masterful storyteller, Hornby’s stories explore human connection with a catchy blend of snapplily observed humor and unsentimental emotion. His books include the bestselling novels High Fidelity, About A Boy, Fever Pitch, How to Be Good, Juliet Naked, and Just Like You.
His latest nonfiction book Dickens and Prince: A Particular Kind of Genius is a reflection on art, creativity, and the unlikely similarities between Victorian novelist Charles Dickens and modern American rock star Prince — two artists, geniuses in their own rights, spanning race, class, and centuries— each of whom impacted and disrupted their disciplines and whose legacy resounded far beyond their own time.
