Business+Tech and the Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Club are hosting a Black History Month event dedicated to closing the racial, gender and monetary gaps that exist in the tech, venture capital, and entrepreneurship industries.

Leveraging experiences and connections made at the AFROTECH conference in Austin last November, this first-of-its-kind collaboration will provide participants with an insight into what these non-traditional career fields look like from the perspective of historically overlooked professionals. This experience will offer a full-day of:

  • Interesting discussions with leaders from startups like Korene Smith
  • Interactive workshops with leaders from big tech like Rachel Brooks
  • Innovative pitches in front of leaders like Monica Wheat

Specifically, after the lunchtime break, we will host an hour-long behind-the-scenes start-up pitch experience from the perspective of a founder and investor from 1-2 PM. Interested founders will have the opportunity to pitch a venture they are working on in 10 minutes, with 5 minutes of Q&A from our special guests in the world of VC/Entrepreneurship.

This entire experience is your opportunity close the gap in your knowledge and know-how in the world of tech, venture capital, and entrepreneurship. Tell a friend and bring a friend! You don't want to miss-out on this first-of-its-kind experience.
