Speaker: Crystal Lee, Head of Career Agents, Rora

Choosing a job offer is a complex decision. There are personal and professional factors that have to be taken into account all while trying to make sense of what the company is presenting to you. Negotiating a job offer effectively is the only way to choose a job offer effectively.

Rora helps job candidates negotiate better job offers. They have helped hundreds of candidates negotiate offers at MANGA, hedge funds, startups, biotech companies, and more. In this webinar, Crystal Lee, Head of Career Agents at Rora, will share some of the real-life negotiation tactics she’s seen companies use. She will also talk about how candidates should be negotiating so that they can make an informed career decision and the mistakes candidates frequently make in the process. Other topics include:

  • How to understand your market value
  • How to optimize your recruiting for career success rather than simply employment
  • How to understand your leverage in an offer negotiation

About the speaker: Crystal Lee is the Head of Career Agents at Rora, a company focused on improving job offer negotiations. Rora provides the support and guidance for candidates who could really use an agent in their corner while they go through potentially one of the most nerve-wracking moments in their lives, advocating for themselves to an employer.

In the span of just over a year, Crystal has negotiated 1,000+ offers, supported 100+ clients, and put millions of dollars back into the pockets of employees. Her background expertise as a VP of Recruitment (for tech, accounting, real estate, law, etc.) and as a tax manager for high net worth individuals lends well to clients considering their offers from a more holistic view while also advocating for their worth.

As for extracurriculars, Crystal is the first Recruitment Chair for the University of San Francisco’s inaugural NY Alumni Chapter. She is also the former Chair of the NextGen Committee for the largest membership chapter (Manhattan/Bronx) at the NYSS.
