Anti Racism Session 3: Statements, celebrations, and donations: exploring the corporate approach to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

About the event:

The 2020 pandemic brought DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) into the forefront of many conversations; particularly around the responsibilities of businesses to create and participate in DEI efforts internally and externally. With such a shift, many new business professionals are entering a workforce that expects an awareness and experience around DEI that formerly was not a priority for success, but is now an expectation that all employees participate in. During this session using critical race theory as a basis, we will explore how systems within business structures inhibit inclusion as well as opportunities for systematically marginalized groups which in turn impact business success. To do this we will cover the benefits and challenges of truly investing in DEI initiatives, the risk of being inauthentic, and insight into navigating some of the intricate issues that arise in the DEI business space.

Free, registration is required to attend this event.
