Come hear panelists from companies such as TechStars Chicago, the #1 startup accelerator, Menlo Innovations, a local startup, Sandbox Industries Chicago, a non-traditional  venture capital firm, CommonBond, a social startup, and the Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center (MSBTDC), providing counseling and training to small business owners and entrepreneurs. The 2013 public symposium is expected to bring together 300 attendees comprised of students and members of the business community. Three concurrent panel discussions composed of emerging and seasoned business leaders and investors will explore three topics: Starting Up and Growing Your Business; Transitioning from Corporate Life to Startup World; and Early Stage Financing. UM students are invited to Lunch and Learn to meet entrepreneurs and venture capitalists at 11:30 a.m. in the Sixth Floor Colloquium.
