Mary is an Operating Executive at Carlyle focused on U.S. buyout opporutniteis in the automotive and transportation sector. She is the former CEO of Carlyle portfolio company AxleTech International and led the sale of AxleTech to General Dynamics in 2008, where she continued to lead the business for two years. Join Mary as she tells her story of success. Not only as an industrial CEO, but also as a globally-respected private equity leader, wife and mom of two teen boys, and a nationally competitive golfer. She will talk about her lessons learned through her peers and bosses, the tradeoffs made along the way, and the rewards that made it all worth it.

Established in 2015, Mcity is the world’s first purpose-built environment for safely testing advanced mobility vehicles and technologies. Mcity also funds academic research and is working with its partners to deploy connected and automated vehicles that have the potential to dramatically improve traffic safety, reduce fuel use, and make mobility more accessible.
