Directions

The 2014 U-M Social Innovation Summit will take place at the U-M Ross School of Business. Click here for maps and directions showing the Ross campus and local parking structures.

Registration will take place in the main lobby near the Tappan Street entrance to the business school, and Aaron Hurst's keynote will take place in the adjacent Blau Auditorium.

Parking

Visitor parking is available via metered parking on the street or the city of Ann Arbor's Forest Avenue parking structure, located at 650 South Forest Ave.

From the Forest parking structure ramp to Ross: Walk west on Willard until you reach East University. Take a left on East University and proceed south to Hill Street and turn right. Enter the Ross building just west of the Hill Street staff parking garage entrance or turn right on Tappan and enter at the main entrance (off Tappan and Monroe streets).

PLEASE NOTE: because of extensive construction on the Ross campus, shortcuts through many previous walkways are unavailable! Please take the approach listed above.

Metered parking is rare, but available on the east (East University Street) and west sides (Tappan Street) of the building. Street parking may be available in the student neighborhood south of the building.


Regional Travel by Car

From North

Take U.S. 23 South to M-14 to the Downtown Ann Arbor/University of Michigan – Main Street Exit. Continue on Main Street south 1.5 miles to Packard Street. Turn left on Packard, left on Hill Street, and proceed two blocks to Tappan. Turn left on Tappan and find the entrance to the business school on the right-hand side of the street.

The public parking deck is available a couple short blocks away at 650 S. Forest Ave. 

From Detroit (East) & Chicago (West)

From I-94, take the State Street Exit, #177. Head north on State Street, (a right turn when traveling from Detroit, or a left turn when traveling from Chicago). Continue about two miles to the intersection of State and Hill streets, then turn right onto Hill Street. Proceed to two blocks Tappan. Turn left on Tappan, and find the entrance to the business school on the right-hand side of the street. 

The public parking deck is available a couple short blocks away at 650 S. Forest Ave. 


Travel from Detroit Metropolitan Airport

Michigan Flyer - AirRide

Michigan Flyer offers convenient motorcoach transportation between Ann Arbor and Detroit Metropolitan Airport. They run 8-12 round trips per day, and the cost to ride is only $12.

Driving

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is located about 25 miles (40 km) east of Ann Arbor on Interstate-94. Take I-94 West to the State Street Exit, #177. Turn right (north) onto State Street, then travel about two miles to the intersection of State and Hill streets. Turn right onto Hill Street and proceed to Tappan. Turn left on Tappan, and find the entrance to the business school on the right-hand side of the street.

Rail Travel

Ann Arbor’s Amtrak station is located at 325 Depot Street, under a mile from the University of Michigan campus. For train times and ticket information visit the Amtrak website.
