UMHS Finance Development Program

Are you looking for an internship that will strengthen your financial abilities, leadership acumen, and consultative skills through a dynamic, rotation-based experience customized for your interests?  Join us for our Corporate Presentation on Wednesday, October 19from 5:45-7:15PM in R2320 to learn about the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) Finance Development Program.  You’ll have a chance to talk to current and past analysts in the FDP program to hear about their experience and outcomes firsthand. 

Program Overview

The program consists of several short rotations within different departments of UMHS Finance. This fast-paced environment allows interns to create different types of deliverables and present them to various stakeholders including department directors, associate CFOs, and the UMHS CFO.

The program tailors individual projects and rotations to each intern’s skillset and preferences. The balance of high-level work with health system tours, social events, and team-bonding events provides an environment where interns add value to the organization but are also able to enjoy the summer and create connections that will last far past the end of the internship.

The size and quality of the University of Michigan Health Systemprovides a unique opportunity for interns. Upon completion of the program, they will have developed the finance, consulting, and leadership skills that they need for the future, while also gaining an understanding about healthcare that few institutions or companies around the country can provide.
