Associate Position at 284 Partners

284 Partners is currently seeking Associates to begin full-time employment in its Ann Arbor, MI office in 2017. Associates have the opportunity to work on a variety of engagements across our practice groups. These practice groups provide a range of financial, transactional, and strategic services to a diverse client base spanning telecommunications, medical products, consumer electronics, aerospace, energy, and other sectors.

Associates at 284 Partners typically work in small teams, learning first-hand from senior staff and directly impacting firm work product. Associates typically balance multiple engagements across the firm’s practice groups, deploying a combination of traditional valuation methods (i.e., Cost, Market, and Income) and advanced modeling techniques. Through these engagements, Associates leverage and build upon their quantitative and communication skills in a dynamic consulting environment. Associates are also encouraged to actively contribute their thoughts and perspectives in our internal meetings and participate in discussions with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze historical and projected financial statements (including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flow), business plans, financial models, and industry reports;

• Perform market research on various industries, business segments, company profiles, and market trends;

• Build complex financial models including, but not limited to, discounted cash flow analyses;

• Communicate findings (in writing and verbally) to management; and

• Assist in the preparation of client deliverables including, but not limited to, expert reports, memoranda, presentations, and quantitative exhibits.
