On behalf of Harvard Business School’s Doctoral Programs, DocNet and the PhD Project, we are delighted to invite you to attend a panel discussion and recruitment luncheon focused on recruiting underrepresented minorities. The goal is to raise awareness and increase the diversity of students pursuing a careers in business academia through discussions with current faculty, students, and admission staff from schools granting business doctoral degrees. Questions around admissions, preparing for academia, gaining research skills and training, and overcoming unique challenges to success will be discussed.
Leading schools attending this event include: Boston University, Chicago Booth, Georgia Tech, Harvard Business School & Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, MIT Sloan, Stanford GSB, University of California – Berkeley Haas, University of Maryland, University of Connecticut, University of South Carolina, University of Michigan, University of Washington, among many others. Furthermore, Sheila Thomas, Harvard’s Assistant Dean of Diversity for a new Research Scholars Program will discuss this exciting initiative designed to prepare students for careers in academic research and help them gain the skills needed for admission into leading programs.
