Skype has significantly changed the way the world communicates, obliterating the notion of distance -- whether it’s a soldier in Afghanistan using Skype to say good morning to his or her child or an explorer speaking to a classroom of children from beneath the ocean. Skype transformed itself from a rowdy startup to a multi-billion dollar Microsoft asset. Geoff Prentice was employee #1 and witnessed Skype’s impact on the world.  Since exiting Skype, Geoff has focused on investing. First, as founding partner of Atomico, a technology investment firm with $1.5b in AUM and now, Oriente Holdings, based in Hong Kong.
