Business Economics

BE 301 Advanced Applied Microeconomics

  Course Prerequisites: ECON 401 (B+ or better); and no credit in BE 300 
  Advanced Applied Microeconomics: The objective of the course is to develop the abilities of students who have already mastered intermediate microeconomics to apply economic reasoning to a wide range of managerial decisions and public policy issues. The course covers many of the same topics as BE 300 but does so at an advance level and in more depth. Additional advanced topics include incentive design and transaction cost economization, auction design and competitive bidding, and the role of reputation with applications to pricing and contracting.
