The ALE Conference attracts more than 200 attendees from around the country including current University of Michigan students, alumni, industry leaders, corporate recruiters, and prospective students. The conference aims to engage these stakeholders in discussions around issues and opportunities relevant to the current economic climate and global business environment. The late Alfred L. Edwards said, "We must make sure that the doors that were open for us do not become closed for others." The 2013 conference theme "On the Shoulders of Giants: Leaving a Lasting and Impactful Legacy" underscores that each generation's successes are directly impacted by the successes and failures of those preceding us.
