12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Hello Tech and Innovation Community Members!

Michigan Ross Technology & Innovation Alumni Association sits down for an AI focused Tech Talk with Justin T. Huang centered on the rapid evolution of AI in real-world contexts and we would love for you to join the conversation (March 20, 2026, 12pm ET)

Session Summary:

The Generative Internet For two decades, Google search has been the primary gateway to online information, anchoring the digital economy of websites, users, and advertisers. The rise of generative AI and associated services like ChatGPT are already reshaping this paradigm, with profound implications for how knowledge is accessed, created, and monetized.

This talk considers what a generative internet means for users, content creators, and advertisers, weaving together stories, data, economic theory, and new findings from Dr. Justin T. Huang's research on how people interact with AI-mediated information and advertising. Beyond the immediate shifts in search and discovery, the discussion will raise broader questions about the future of the Internet and the incentives that sustain it. Additionally, the session will discuss how generative AI is being incorporated into the Marketing core curriculum at Ross and the opportunities and challenges that these technologies present in the classroom.
