The Mitsui Life Financial Research Center is hosting the 38th Mitsui Finance Symposium: New Frontiers in Financial Intermediation, to be held June 11 - 13, 2025, at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
CONFERENCE OVERVIEW: This year's conference will highlight innovative research on the evolving landscape of financial intermediation. We invite contributions that explore a wide range of topics, including the role of data and AI in financial services, bank liquidity and risk management, and the financial implications of climate considerations. Empirical and theoretical papers on these, as well as related topics, are most welcome. We especially encourage the submission of preliminary papers.
FULL PARTICIPATION: As we highly value active audience participation, all participants are encouraged to stay during the entire conference. This has been the standard at past Mitsui symposiums and is encouraged again this year. The symposium begins with a reception on Wednesday evening, June 11, and ends with lunch on Friday, June 13, 2025.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Professor Viral Acharya, C.V. Starr Professor of Economics in the Department of Finance at New York University Stern School of Business.
PROGRAM COMMITTEE: Edward Kim, M.P. Narayanan, Amiyatosh Purnanadam, and Kunal Sachdeva
