About the Gift
The Stephen M. Ross $100 million gift for endowment and facilities—50% cash and 50% bequest—is the largest in University of Michigan history and the largest for any business school. It will cover a major portion of an ambitious facilities project to create new and renovated space that supports the Business School's educational mission, specifically:
- Accommodate future enrollment growth
- Create more formal and informal group study areas, especially learning environments that foster team-based learning
- Provide community gathering spaces to promote interactions among students and faculty
- Generate a more integrated look and feel for the Business School campus
