The ABCD Institute spreads its findings on capacity-building community development in two ways: (1) through extensive and substantial interactions with community builders, and (2) by producing practical resources and tools for community builders to identify, nurture, and mobilize neighborhood assets.

The Center for Nonviolent Communication is a nonprofit organization that seeks to strengthen people's capacity to compassionately connect with and relate to others through nonviolent communication practices. This Web site also includes a point-by-point description of what we can do using nonviolent communication in the aftermath of the attacks on September 11th.

Leader to Leader Institute The Leader to Leader Institute

The Leader to Leader Institute has its roots in the social sector and in its predecessor, the Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Nonprofit Management, which in January 2003 transferred its ongoing activities to the new identity. The Leader to Leader Institute furthers its mission "to strengthen the leadership of the social sector" by providing educational opportunities and resources to leaders.

 
Positive Deviance Initiative Positive Deviance Initiative

The objectives of the Positive Deviance Initiative (PDI) are to document and share information on current global positive deviance (PD) projects, to explore new PD applications, and to expand the cadre of PD practitioners and trainers. The PDI is located at Tufts University's Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy.

 
The Positive Futures Network The Positive Futures Network

The Positive Futures Network was founded in March 1996 based on the belief that humanity is in the midst of a historic transition. The Network's goal is to enhance the power of people working to create a more just, sustainable and compassionate future by increasing their public visibility, their sense of interconnection and their access to visions, tools, stories and techniques for change. To that end, the Network publishes YES! A Journal of Positive Futures, which combines analysis of key problems with news of actions people are taking in the United States and around the world to create a more positive future.

 
The Taos Institute The Taos Institute

The Taos Institute is a pueblo, or community, of scholars and practitioners working to explore, extend and share the view that through human relationships we construct our realities, moralities and aspirations. It is from the meanings created and sustained in relationships that the future is largely fashioned. The Institute is a nonprofit organization whose participants collaborate to design and promote creative, appreciative and relational practices in families, communities and organizations around the world.
