The course will discuss the role of healthcare in emerging markets, the different approaches to providing healthcare in emerging markets, and the challenges facing those institutions. Students will work on team projects that delve more deeply into specific institutions in select countries. Students will travel to the specified country over spring break to interview relevant stakeholders. Projects are planned for Rwanda, Uganda and India, and will be discussed at the Information Session on October 29.

You will be notified on your acceptance to the course by 5 pm November 6 (in time for your other course biddings). A non-refundable deposit of $500 on November 7 will reserve your space in the course. We expect the total student expense (including airfare) not to exceed $1250 per student.
