Power Onboarding Workshop: Your First 100 Days in a New Role (hosted by Kellogg School of Management)

Half of all senior outside hires fail in their first 18 months on the job, according to Michael Watkins author of The First 90 Days.  The direct and indirect costs to companies can be significant.

This workshop will provide practical advice and tools to help you during your transition to your next job, whether you’re joining a new company or being promoted in your current company. Research has shown that an actively followed personal onboarding plan will allow you to reach proficiency in a new position up to 30% faster than the typical transitioning manager.  Topics include:

 

  • Navigating a new role and culture
  • Communicating with your new boss
  • Getting early wins
  • Networking in your new company
  • Evaluating Time, Talent and Relationships

 

Matthew Temple, Director of Alumni Career & Professional Development for the Kellogg School of Management .  He has over 15 years of experience coaching executives in many industries including consulting, entertainment & media, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and technology.  He has coached executives on leadership, building and managing high performing teams, onboarding, and executive presence.  He is certified in the Hogan Assessment, Voices 360, Korn Ferry Leadership Architect, and MBTI.
