Tuition and Costs

The Ross School of Business seeks to admit only the best candidates and offers a variety of financial aid options to fund educational expenses. The cost of attendance represents a reasonable estimate of the cost of attending the Ross School of Business for the 2009 - 10 academic year.

Part-time MBA Programs - Tuition and Costs

Total tuition and fees to complete the Evening and Weekend MBA formats are estimated at $85,000. This estimate is based on 2009-10 tuition rates, which were approved in June 2009. The first credit hour costs $1,583 and each additional credit hour is $1,398. Evening students’ annual budgets will vary based on the pace at which they complete the program. More details follow.

Evening students enjoy a flexible format in which they take courses at their own pace.

  • To complete the degree, students must earn 60 credits.
  • The norm is 7 credits per full term and 3 credits per half term.
  • Some 80 percent of Evening students finish the program between 2.5 and 5.5 years.

Weekend students enjoy a structured, cohort-based program that meets every other weekend for 24 months.

  • To complete the degree, students must earn 60 credits.
  • Credits range between 9 and 11.25 per term.
  • All Weekend students complete the program in two years.

US citizen and permanent resident students may borrow federal or private loans to cover the cost of tuition and fees. International students may borrow private loans but will need a US citizen or permanent resident cosigner.

The posted 2009-10 tuition was approved by the University Regents on June 18, 2009. Tuition increases, on average, 5% each academic year.
