Anchored in fundamental business principles, the University of Michigan Business School curriculum has evolved to meet specific, individual objectives as well as the dynamic needs of the global business community.
The first year begins with an intensive core curriculum, covering 10 elemental
business functions, and concludes with a seven-week
Multidisciplinary Action
Project - or MAP - enabling you to apply what you’ve just learned in a real-life
business situation. Offered in domestic, international or entrepreneurial
settings, the MAP program sends first year MBA students into consulting
engagements throughout the United States and the world to further develop skills and
gain exposure to potential career opportunities.
With no requirement to specialize or major in one particular area, Michigan provides the freedom to individualize your program during the second year to meet your professional objectives. Select from over 100 electives across 12 departments to fine-tune your course of study. Or, pursue one of more than 20 dual degree programs, offered in conjunction with several of the University’s leading schools and departments. Acclaimed research institutes within the Business School also help hone your skills in everything from environmental management to entrepreneurship.
By co-creating your educational experience, you are challenged to take risks and pursue a lifelong intellectual adventure. At the University of Michigan Business School, you are not the recipient of a homogenized MBA; you are an active participant in a customized educational process.
Comprehensive yet flexible, students have the freedom to tailor a program to their specific career goals
