Where Do I Start?

Please see the Getting Started Section if you are a new faculty, staff member
or student.
- Faculty and staff will need to contact our Computing Services
office to obtain their accounts.
- Students are sent their account
information prior to their first semester.
- The

page in My iMpact is a great place to learn about all of the various
services and procedures as needed. Review the Core Knowledge Checklist for
relevant topics.

Can I Get Walk-In Assistance?
|
|
- We offer walk-in laptop assistance
for students on the 2nd floor of the Kresge Library.
- For other student, faculty and staff issues, our Receptionist is happy to direct you to who can assist you, however you
will need to make an appointment with that particular team member, or contact
our Helpdesk via email or phone for technical issues. We cannot
accommodate walk-in requests as our staff may be addressing other important
issues, and also because it is not fair to those who call or schedule
appointments.
- If your situation is urgent (classroom technical emergencies or situations
with school-wide impact) or serious (defined as inability to do work) let us
know and it will be handled as such.

How Do I Get Assistance when Teaching in the Classroom?
|
|
Our Helpdesk's Classroom Support team number one priority is to assist with
technical issues during teaching situations. Call the Helpdesk line and
ask for our Classroom Support team. For questions using the equipment,
like using the projector and backing up in a PowerPoint presentation with the
wireless mouse, please make an appointment with a Classroom Support team member
to meet with you in the classroom - in advance of your need!

What Logins Do I Use for What Services?
|
|
- Business School students have their uniqname with Kerberos password that they
use for everything.
- Business School faculty, staff and Ph.D. students have two logins:
- a uniqname login
with a Kerberos password for campus-wide services (all Web site logins, some
library services, CTools, etc.)
- a uniqname login with a Business School password for resources on the
Business School network (network file access from office and lab computers,
Exchange\Outlook\Webmail email access, FTP remote access to our file
servers).
