Lifetime Email for Alumni

Your uniqname@umich.edu
Your University of Michigan e-mail address is yours for life - which means that your colleagues and contacts that have your e-mail address today can reach you into the future!  As you change companies and e-mail providers over the years, you may have different e-mail accounts with different employers or different Internet Service Providers.  Simply register your current e-mail account in the Online Campus Directory.  E-mail addressed to your umich.edu address will be delivered to your current account.

• For current students, this address is typically forwarded to the central campus ITCS mailbox, and redirected upon graduation. 
• For Business School faculty, staff and Ph.D. students, this address is typically forwarded to their Exchange account.
   

iMPact's Alumni Directory
Please note that in addition to your lifetime e-mail address, your personal profile in iMPact also stores a registered e-mail address for you.  This shows up as contact information in the Alumni Directory that is used by other alumni, faculty, recruiters, and students who may wish to contact you.  You can change the e-mail address in your Personal Profile at any time. 
 
Tip:  If you point your iMpact address to your lifetime address uniqname@umich.edu, whenever you direct your lifetime address through the Online Campus Directory to your new account, you will not need to update two different locations.
 
As you prepare to transition from student life, be sure you  

		Update Your Online Campus Directory entry with your new forwarding e-mail.
		Make sure your contact information is correct in your iMpact Personal Profile.
