Continuing in the fashion of maximizing the student experience, Ross will be undergoing major
construction to provide students with state-of-the-art facilities.
The new building will provide the optimal setting for all of
their
learning needs, where action-based learning can truly be
enhanced. Kohn Pedersen and Fox (KPF), a world renowned
architectural firm, has been working on the plans, taking into
consideration suggestions from students, faculty and staff.
Watch for future updates on this exciting process by visiting
the News Room and
Community
Creation 2006-2008, the new building website.
Room Reservations
While Ross is under construction,
please continue to look for meeting space in our facility first
through the normal Facilities request process. Classrooms will
be available in the evenings and weekends for club meetings and
events. If sufficient space isn’t available here (i.e. for a
special event), your club can either:
Contact Student Organization
Account Services with the request. SOAS will then pass the
requests on to the Registrar. Clubs should NOT contact the
Registrar directly.
Consider utilizing the
Union,
League, or other
off-site venues.
Facilities Update
Dear Ross Faculty, Staff and
Students:
Many of you may have noticed the webcam on the Ross Technology
page, which provides a live camera feed of the demolition
process. We are pleased to announce that this link also may be
found on the Community Creation website along with the
University’s Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC)
webcam. The latter is located in the Law School, saves images
every ten minutes during demolition and will save every hour
during construction.
Additionally, we have activated the Photo Gallery on this site
and will continue to feature still photos throughout the
project. Many thanks to Christy King and A.J. Dziak for
providing early photos of the time capsule retrieval, the Alessi
courtyard excavation and early demolition.
