John Felmy is Chief Economist and Director of API’s Statistics Department. His department is responsible for all statistical publications of the Institute. He has over twenty years experience in energy, economic and environmental analysis. He received Bachelors and Masters in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Maryland.

John is a member of several professional associations including the American Economics Association and the International Association for Energy Economics and is serving as the Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Alliance for Energy and Economic Growth.
