POS Conference at the University of Michigan 2001

The Positive Organizational Scholarship Conference, held December 5-7, 2001, brought together a select group of scholars (faculty and doctoral students) to help define and foster a new field of study in organizational studies.
Although this first conference was exclusive due to time and resource constraints, we intend positive organizational scholarship to be an inclusive home for numerous scholars and research traditions. This first gathering of scholars examined the dynamics associated with positive organizational behavior, and its purpose was to:

1. introduce this new approach to the organizational studies community and engender added interest among doctoral students and faculty colleagues

2. share current research and writing on positive organizational scholarship

3. serve as the basis for an edited book that introduces this approach

4. identify next steps for empirical and theoretical work in this arena

Below you will find links to RealMedia presentations from this conference by Kim Cameron, Barbara Fredrickson, Gretchen Spreitzer, Karl Weick and a panel of Amy Wrzesniewski, James Ludema and Peter Frost.
