Leading the Positive Organization: How to Make a Difference Now
October 8, 2004, 3:00-4:30 pm

Robert E. Quinn
M.E. Tracy Professor of Organization and Management

We have been in a period of brutal cost-cutting. Resources are stretched and people are exhausted. There is little more to cut. Some organizations will successfully grow and some will languish. We are facing a period that calls for particularly effective leadership. At the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship, researchers have discovered some startling insights about what it means to lead effectively.

In this session, Robert Quinn will review the messages in his newest book, Building the Bridge As You Walk on It: A Guide to Change. He will explain why leadership is the work no executive wants to do and provide a framework for making a profound difference in your life and your organization.
