On December 10-12, 2003, we held the 2nd Biannual POS conference at the University
of Michigan Business School. Sixty scholars and doctoral students from around the
country and Canada came together to generate energy for building an agenda for
empirical research. Sessions focused on synthesizing what we know about POS already
and identifying gaps for future research. Innovative methods for conducting POS
research were discussed as were researchers personal transformations to studying POS
research questions. The conference ended with the development of research PODs or
networks of POS scholars on specific POS topics.
