My interest in resilience stems from my dissertation where I looked at how to prevent drinking water outbreaks. In Canada, there is no over-arching regulator for drinking water, so municipalities and several different regulators are responsible for ensuring drinking water safety. I'm interested in how to build resilience across organizations. I've been influenced by the work on cultures of safety, high reliability organizations, the notion of problem domains and work on interorganizational collaboration.
