Michelle’s research centers on group adaptability and problem-solving in the face of
crises and other unexpected events. In particular, she focuses on the effects and use
of divergent knowledge and expertise when group members are attempting to make sense
of and respond effectively to such events. She is also interested in the relational
practices which allow dynamic coordination and adaptability during emergent situations.
