My research focuses upon social identity within organizations with specific
interest in how social identity and professionalism are negotiated between members
of marginalized and central groups during daily work life. Currently, I am working
with Jeffrey Sanchez-Burks to investigate the role of emotional aperture (the ability
to perceive emotional expressions within a group context) in leadership behaviors.
I am also working with Fiona Lee to explore the impact of identity integration on
professional affiliation behavior.
