David Bright is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management,
Raj Soin College of Business, Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He received
a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Case Western Reserve University. He teaches
in the areas of leadership, organizational behavior, and organizational change. David’s
research focuses on organizational forgiveness, organizational virtuousness, Appreciative
Inquiry and virtue-based organizational change. His writing has appeared in such
publications as the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Executive,
American Behavioral Scientist, and the Journal of Business Ethics.
David has consulted with a variety of organizations and projects including Voices and
Choices of Northeast Ohio, Roadway Express, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency, and Lucent. He recently completed one year at the Case Weatherhead
School of Management as Visiting Assistant Professor and Research Fellow in the Center
for Business as an Agent of World Benefit. He was part of the organizing team for the
October 2006 BAWB Global Forum, a collaborative event sponsored by the U.N. Global Compact
and the Academy of Management, which attracted over 1400 participants over three days to
discuss the expanding role of business in society.
