I work as head of the department for leadership and organizational
development at Uppsala University in Sweden. I'm also an associate
professor at the department of Business Studies at Uppsala University
and a trained psychotherapist. I try to combine a theoretical approach
and research with the daily work as a leader and coach to
other managers. Coming from a more critical and psychodynamic
perspective I found the POS-perspective appealing and refreshing.
My doctoral thesis was about organizational change and leadership, and
my more recent research is about change, leadership and emotions. In
practice as well as in research, I like to use a POS-approach.
My colleague Birgitta Sodergren and myself are working to get the POS
perspective further anchored in the Swedish community. We engage in
developing POS tools and adapt strength-based and appreciative inquiry
techniques to support individuals, groups and organizations. Our
mission is to build a strong Scandinavian network, with researchers as
well as practitioners, who are interested in the POS-perspective.
