Research
My research focuses on job design, work motivation, prosocial behavior, and employee well-being.
I have conducted field experiments demonstrating that the persistence and performance of service
employees can be increased by connecting them to the people who benefit from their work, survey studies
developing scales to measure job design and prosocial motivation, and interview studies exploring how
employees construct socially valued identities in service work.
