Leading in Trying Times webpage updated!
Designed as a response to the tragedy of September 11th, 2001, the essays on this page speak on how a positive difference can be made in the wake of trauma and crisis. Click here to access the recently updated essays produced by scholars at the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship.

New course syllabi are available!
Jane Dutton's MO615 course syllabus (with teaching notes) on managing professional relationships and Helge Hernes' ORG 420 course syllabus on leader-follower relationships are both now available. Click here to access the syllabi for these courses, both of which are taught from a POS perspective.

The POS Gathering at the 2005 Academy of Management Meeting
At the 2005 National Academy of Management Meeting in Hawaii, we had approximately 100 enthusiastic faculty and doctoral students come together to for the 2nd annual POS gathering of scholars. JOB Special Issue Call for Papers
The Journal of Organizational Behavior is calling for papers for their special issue on "The Contexts of Positive Organizational Behavior". Submission due date: September 1, 2005.

Professional Meetings

International Positive Psychology Summit
The 2005 International Positive Psychology Summit will be held in Washington, D.C., from September 29 to October 1. Click here for more information on the Summit. The meeting is an annual event featuring some of the best science in the field of positive psychology, and there is always an outstanding list of speakers.

Academy of Management (Aug. 5-10, 2005)
The annual meeting of the Academy of Management had several POS-related events and they were all great successes!

Professional Development Workshop (PDW)
A PDW on "Uncovering New Variables, Methods, & Mechanisms from Positive Organizational Scholarship (POS)" was held Sunday morning, August 7, 8:30 am - noon at the Hawaii Convention Center, Room 317B.

POS Gathering
A gathering of scholars interested in POS was held Sunday afternoon, August 7, 1:30 - 3:00 pm at the Convention Center, Room 323A. After a review of accomplishments of POS scholars, we broke into small research pods based on common research interests.
