Ross School Professor Recognized for Outstanding Research on Korean Economy
E. Han Kim receives first award of its kind from the Korean American Economic Association.
ANN ARBOR, Mich.—E. Han Kim, the Fred M. Taylor Professor of Business Administration, director of the Mitsui Life Financial Research Center and professor of finance and international business at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, recently received the first Maekyung-KAEA Economist Award given by the Korean American Economic Association.
The award, sponsored by the Maekyung Business Newspaper, is given to a member of the association who has significantly contributed to academic research on the Korean economy. It was established to acknowledge a Korean-American scholar who has made the most important academic achievements within the last three years.
Kim's current research is concentrated on corporate governance, Asian financial markets and economy, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financial policy and emerging markets.
