Ross School Faculty Recognized for Outstanding Research in Business Communication

Pris Rogers and Jane Thomas receive "Distinguished Publication" award.

ANN ARBOR, Mich.—Pris Rogers, associate professor of business education, and Jane Thomas, lecturer of business communications and former director of BBA/MBA student writing programs at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, were recently honored for their article, "Preparing New Entrants for Subordinate Reporting: A Decision-making Framework for Writing," by the Association for Business Communication's (ABC) Publications.

The article, co-written with Mian Lian Ho, Irene F.H. Wong and Catherine Ooi Lan Cheng of the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, was named "Outstanding Article" in the Journal of Business Communication. It also was co-winner of the "Distinguished Publication" award—the top award given by the ABC to an outstanding book, book chapter or journal article that contributes significantly to scholarship, research, and pedagogy, demonstrates originality of thought and is well written.

The ABC is an international organization committed to fostering excellence in business communication scholarship, research, education and practice. It recognizes members for service to the association and profession, research and teaching excellence, and outstanding publications.
