Executive Education Develops New Center for Corporate Executives

Center is the teaching, consulting arm of the Positive Organizational Scholarship movement.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan will introduce the Center for Leadership and Change Dec. 3 with a conference held in the Forum Hall Auditorium at Palmer Commons.

The center, under the direction of Executive Education, is the teaching and consulting arm of the Positive Organizational Scholarship (POS) movement and offers access to POS theory and practice through executive education programs, consulting services and other interactions.

The daylong event, "Positive Leadership and Change: A Breakthrough Strategy in Leadership Development," is an opportunity for corporate executives responsible for management development in their organizations to meet Michigan thought leaders involved in POS. Admission is by application only.

POS is a new movement in organizational studies that draws on path-breaking work in the organizational and social sciences. It's based on the premise that enabling human excellence in organizations will unlock potential, reveal possibilities and facilitate a more positive course of human and organizational performance.
