Two Ross Faculty Depart to Accept Deanships at Ivey Business School and Babson College

4/29/2013 --

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Ross faculty Robert Kennedy and Scott Moore have recently accepted appointments as deans at the Western University's Richard Ivey School of Business and the Undergraduate School at Babson College, respectively.

"I join with all of Bob Kennedy and Scott Moore's colleagues and friends at the Ross School of Business in congratulating them on their new appointments," said Alison Davis-Blake, dean of the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. "We greatly appreciate Bob and Scott's service and accomplishments during their time at Ross. While we will miss them being part of the Ross community, we are also gratified to see them taking on well-deserved appointments at Western University and Babson College."

As executive director of the William Davidson Institute (WDI), Bob positioned WDI as a major knowledge and practice center focused on emerging market economies and globalization. He also began the Institute's business case writing initiative, GlobalLens.

Scott served as program director of the Bachelor of Business Administration program from 2004 - 2011 and made strong contributions to undergraduate education. These included the shift of the Ross BBA program from a two-year to a three-year experience, and the use of technology and collaboration to improve the learning experience.
