Ross BBA Program Still No. 1 in Management
U.S. News and World Report releases 2011 rankings for undergraduate business schools.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Ross School's BBA program is once again the best in America in teaching general management, according to the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings.
It's the third straight year the magazine's rankings of the best U.S. undergraduate business programs has put Ross at No. 1 in the management category. The school finished as the fourth-best overall BBA program.
The school also ranked in the Top Five in the following business specialties: marketing (No. 2), finance (No. 3), international business (No. 4), productions/operations management (No. 4), and accounting (No. 5).
U.S. News surveyed deans and senior faculty at each undergraduate business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Business school deans and faculty (two at each business program) were surveyed in spring 2010. Participants were asked to rate the quality of all programs they are familiar with on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).
The undergraduate business school rankings are based solely on this peer survey. U.S. News also asked for nominations of the best programs in specialty areas. Those receiving the most mentions are ranked in the Top Five in each area.
