Michigan Growth Capital Symposium's David Brophy Bullish on Michigan Startups
Ross professor prepares for May 11 symposium, and tells Time.com readers the state is "capable of serving the world."
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — In a May 5 Detroit blog hosted by Time.com, David Brophy, director of the Office for the Study of Private Equity Finance and associate professor of finance, describes the "renaissance and reinvention" of Michigan through entrepreneurial efforts in research and technology. Brophy is preparing for the May 11 Michigan Growth Capital Symposium presented by the Zell Lurie Institute's Center for Venture Capital & Private Equity Finance at Ross in partnership with the Michigan Venture Capital Association and with support from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. MGCS 2010 is being held at the Marriott Resort in Ypsilanti, Mich., and will mark the symposium's 29th anniversary.
