A. Alfred Taubman Will Speak at University of Michigan Real Estate Forum
ANN ARBOR, Mich.---A. Alfred Taubman will deliver the keynote address at the 17th annual University of Michigan/Urban Land Institute Real Estate Forum at 1 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Michigan League.
He will give an overview of the history of real estate development in the greater Detroit area, as well as the trends, challenges and opportunities he believes will impact the redevelopment of Detroit¿s housing, retail and industrial real estate markets.
Taubman is founder of The Taubman Company, one of the nation¿s leading real estate developers and operators of regional shopping centers, and is the controlling shareholder of Sotheby¿s Holdings Inc., parent company of Sotheby¿s, the international art auction house. He also is a partner in The Athena Group, international developers and managers of non-retail real estate.
Taubman will speak on the second day of the two-day U-M/ULI Real Estate Forum, which is presented by the Michigan Businesss School, U-M Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and the Urban Land Institute Detroit District Council and is sponsored by Crain¿s Detroit Business, First Commercial Realty & Development Co. and Michigan Commercial Magazine.
