Come Support Ross UpClose Weekend!

SHARE

Greetings from Michigan Ross!  I hope you are having a great September! On behalf of the Admissions Office and the UpClose student planning committee, I invite you to attend UpClose 2016!

As you'll recall, UpClose is our Diversity weekend for prospective students and it’s a major driver of applications among our underrepresented minority population. The excitement of UpClose doesn’t just affect the prospective students who attend, but it creates great momentum in their networks as well. Our goal for the event is to convince candidates to apply to Ross by showcasing the strength of our faculty, alumni and our community. Our goals for the career panels, specifically, are to convey:

  • The strength of the Michigan Ross MBA program in preparing students for fulfilling careers

  • The breadth of career opportunities available to Ross graduates; and,

  • The amazing network of Ross/UM alumni and students

This year our Upclose applications have increased by over 50%. We'll likely have over 100 prospective students on campus so we can use as many alumni in attendance as possible. Please click here to view a tentative agenda for the weekend.  You are welcome to attend any of the events but I’d specifically draw your attention to the following events:

Additionally, we invite you to participate in other UpClose activities, including:

  • Friday, October 7 from 4:00 - 5:30 PM: Reception with members of the Ross Community

  • Friday, October 7 from 7:00 - 9:30 PM: Alumni Dinner w/ Dean DeRue

  • Saturday October 8: Alumni Career Panel (Specific time TBD: Likely 4:30)

  • Saturday, October 8 at 7:00 PM: Michigan vs. Rutgers watch party at Revel & Roll Sports Bar

Once we get a complete alumni attendee list, we will share it so you can connect with other alums before UpClose.  Unfortunately, we're unable to provide travel accommodations for all alumni but we'll cover all event meals.

Please click here to RSVP by Monday, September 26 and click HERE for more details on UpClose!.

The prospective and current students are excited about this event and we hope you can help make this year’s event the best yet!

Thanks for your consideration and Go Blue!
