Brian Swett, Americas Cities Leader and Principal at Arup, will speak about the future of smart cities and the redevelopment of Union Point, a 1,550 acre former Naval Air Station south of Boston. The Union Point development is designed to thrive in a new reality of sharing economies, autonomous vehicles and ubiquitous technology. Through strong public-private collaboration and the goal for environmentally and socially conscious development, Union Point is built to thrive for the next 100 years and positioned to reintroduce commercial growth to the South Shore. The talk will be held at Arup’s downtown Boston office, which was recently certified as WELL Gold, becoming the first WELL certified space in New England. Free food and drinks will be served.
