PatientsLikeMe is an online community that enables patients to self report their progress through chronic illnesses collecting information in real time about issues ranging from drug tolerance to adherence to quality of life. PatientsLikeMe works with biopharma giants such as AstraZeneca Genentech, and Biogen to provide its patient-reported data for the companies' R&D initiatives. Rishi will talk about how PatientsLikeMe is putting patients at the forefront of innovation by helping them become more engaged and informed about their illness.

Rishi Bhalerao is a Director at PatientsLikeMe, a free patient network and real-time healthresearch platform. Prior to joining PatientsLikeMe, Rishi spent several years as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and more recently, as an innovation consultant, at a firm started by Prof. Clay Christensen of the Harvard Business School. He earned an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Engineering.
