Madeleine K. AlbrightUN, WTO, IMF: Time for a Change?

Former Secretary of State and William Davidson Institute Distinguished Scholar Madeleine K. Albright discusses international institutions at a public forum held on March 10 in the Business School’s Hale Auditorium. Secretary Albright discusses the creation of current international institutions—the United Nations, the World Trade Organization and the International Monetary Fund—in the wake of World War II, assesses their performance over the past 50 years, highlights tensions between the historical structure and the world today, and makes suggestions for restructuring these institutions for the 21st century.
