MEMIS is an information source database enabling researchers to locate firm level data for Emerging Markets and Japan. Contained in MEMIS is information on 66 databases, both single-country local sources and large international sources, across 20 countries. The search features in MEMIS allow users to query which data sources contain data for 174 potential variable items. In addition, MEMIS Reports present overviews of the information available, cost and retrieval of data for all the relevant databases. MEMIS is thus a first stop for firm level research in Emerging Markets.
