The Michigan Model of Leadership and Ross Leadership Assessment will serve as a foundation for your leadership development at Michigan Ross. In the MBA program, you will have the opportunity to experience:
Leadership Development Program
This two-day program is exclusively for new Part-Time MBA students. It will:
- Serve as the foundation for your leadership development at Michigan Ross
- Increase your awareness of the Michigan Model of Leadership, your communication style, and your leadership style
- Enhance your cultural competence and skill sets for teamwork and
change leadership
Explore your personal leadership style through the Competing Values Framework
Leadership Weekend
This engaging weekend builds on a foundation established during the Leadership Development Program and kick-starts your second year in the Part-time MBA program. You will enhance your ability to:
- Leverage networks
- Work in teams
- Navigate crises
- Engage mindfully in your continuing leadership development
Leadership Crisis Challenge
During the Leadership Crisis Challenge, twenty-five, four-student teams – including MBA, PTMBA, and BBA students – assume the role of senior managers in a company facing a potentially devastating crisis. You will:
- Develop an action plan in the face of fast-changing dynamics
- Communicate and defend your plan to an agitated board of directors
- Face real journalists and attempt to control the message
- Receive feedback from faculty judges, communication coaches, process observers, and journalists.
RLIx
RLI Experiment (RLIx) is a learning community that will encourage you to put leadership development at the center of your Michigan Ross co-curricular experience. You will:
Advance your leadership development through positive engagement,
active experimentation, and disciplined reflection.
Assist peers in advancing their leadership development
Foster a culture of mindful engagement at Michigan Ross
